Portfolio > Informal Relations (2012)

Informal Relations stemed from research into the squatter communities of industrializing nations. These communities make up large portions of many major cities participating in the global market, where people have migrated and settled without land rights. Many of these nations' governments and top percenters see these communities as a problem, however, their attempts at fixing the problem fail from a lack of genuine interest in the lives of the people who live there. By studying these communities globally we can clearly see a timeline of self-development that could benefit from more genuine support. This work serves to highlight some of the intricacies of domestic home life within these communities as well as the grander ideas they represent.
